Sentencing Guidelines introduced for ‘revenge porn’ and other intimidatory offences
The Sentencing Council has published definitive guidelines for intimidatory offences covering harassment, stalking, disclosing private sexual images (‘revenge porn’), controlling or coercive behaviour and threats to kill. Streamlined sentencing code proposed
In July 2017, the Law Commission published a draft Sentencing Code for public consultation. The consultation period ended on 26 January 2018 and the findings are currently awaited.
