Alex Cochrane joins Brett Wilson LLP

Brett Wilson LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of Alex Cochrane in the firm's media law department.

Alex joins Brett Wilson from Collyer Bristow and is a highly-regarded senior solicitor specialising in reputation management, privacy law, social media and commercial disputes.

Alex has been involved in a number of leading defamation/privacy cases including Cairns v Modi [2012] EWCA Civ 1382 and PNM v Times Newspapers Ltd. [2017] UKSC 49.

Alex regularly acts for high profile figures and celebrities. In particular, he has managed a huge number of successful claims for victims of phone-hacking against the former publishers of the News of the World, the MirrorSunday Mirror, and the People.

Commending Alex, the Legal 500 noted how he "gains clients’ trust through a mixture of an authoritative yet friendly personality coupled with outstanding legal expertise’."
