Dhillon Purnell-Mullick

Dhillon is a solicitor in Brett Wilson’s media and communications law department.

Prior to joining Brett Wilson, Dhillon practiced media and public law at Edwards Duthie Shamash, specialising in disputes touching the political world.  He now specialises in defamation, data protection, harassment and misuse of private information.

Ebin Europe Limted v Mr Kwangho Shin

Dhillon successfully secured strike out on behalf of the Defendant following a slander claim brought by a corporate claimant arising from comments made at a closed business meeting.

Anna Melton v Associated Newspapers Limited

Dhillon acted for a journalist in libel proceedings against Associated Newspapers Limited following an article published by them in the “Daily Mail”. The article wrongly alleged that the claimant had confessed to having taken cocaine at a child’s birthday party. ANL published an apology to the claimant and agreed to pay her substantial damages and costs.
