Laura Clews

Laura was admitted to practice in New Zealand in 2012. Following admission, she worked as a Judicial Assistant to justices of the High Court of New Zealand. From 2015 to 2019 she worked as a solicitor in a top-ranked disputes resolution firm. She had a particular focus on family disputes, media and intellectual property litigation, working for both claimants and defendants.

Laura has regularly appeared in both local and higher courts in New Zealand for a variety of disputes (both as Junior and sole Counsel), as well as in arbitrations, negotiations and mediations. Recently, she appeared in the Privy Council in a complex matrimonial and trust property dispute. Throughout her time in legal practice, she has worked with top barristers and Queens' Counsel in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Laura moved to London in 2019, where she has working in the litigation sphere, providing legal services to large organisations including defence work for well-known media outlets. Laura is passionate, pragmatic and adopts a tailored approach to ensure that she strives to meet the particular needs of each client.
