Family Law and Civil Litigation
Rebecca specialises in family law and civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Brett Wilson LLP, Rebecca worked at Vardags and has extensive experience in high net worth divorce and family cases. These often involved complex issues such as jurisdiction disputes and alleged non-disclosure, or accompanying paternity or child arrangements disputes. During her training, she won the firm’s annual mooting competition, facing up against a panel of judges made up of a QC and other prominent family law practitioners, discussing topics such as special contribution and the impact of pre-nuptial agreements. Her civil practice has included working with household names and companies, as well individuals. It has often complemented her work with family clients, by supporting them with issues relating to their businesses, instances of harassment and defamation that may occur as the result of family breakdown, and making a fatal accident claim which supported a family unit after a traumatic bereavement. Rebecca is passionate about assisting people going through a family breakdown to do so in the best way possible.
Outside the office, Rebecca enjoys baking and hiking (often in the Peak District, near her childhood home) and in the past she has been a competitive ice-skater and ballroom dancer.
