Nottingham Forest owner sues Crystal Palace over ‘gun banner’

The far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is being sued for libel by Jamal Hijazi, a 16 year old Syrian refugee.
A video of Hijazi, a schoolboy, being attacked and having water poured on his face caused public outcry last year and condemnation from the prime minister.
The libel claim alleges that Mr Yaxley-Lennon made claims on social media that Hijazi had previously assaulted three girls and a boy and was “not that innocent”.
Mr Yaxley-Lennon will have the opportunity to defend the High Court proceedings, should he choose to do so.
